Heavy sturdy old vintage brocante candleholder

Large old vintage brocante candleholder for candles or tea lights up to 5 cm (diameter), in triangular model. Looks like wood carvings, but is another heavy material (unknown what) with dark red checkered pattern. For an attractively set festive table, as a sober, sturdy decoration or for collectors. Light signs of use, but still fine to use (see photos).
